423 children have died since the beginning of the war in Ukraine - Prosecutor General's Office


The number of war victims among children continues to rise.
Since the beginning of the war in Ukraine, 423 children have died, more than 1,233 children have been injured. It is reported by the Prosecutor General's Office of Ukraine.
Most of the children suffered in Donetsk, Kharkiv, Kyiv, Mykolaiv, Chernihiv, Zaporozhye, Lugansk, Kherson and Dnepropetrovsk regions.
The department notes that these data are not final, we are talking only about those whose names were confirmed.
In many regions where hostilities continue, and in the occupied territories, counting is now impossible, the Prosecutor General's Office explains.
More than 2,600 educational institutions were damaged due to bombing and shelling, 313 of them were completely destroyed.
As of October 10, according to the UN, 6,221 civilians, including 396 children, were killed as a result of Russian aggression. The UN also clarifies that there are much more dead and injured, the figures given are documented and confirmed victims of the war.
