A fencer of the Ukrainian national team died at the front

A member of the Ukrainian national fencing team, Fyodor Epifanov, has died in the war against the Russian occupants. This was reported by the Ukrainian Fencing Federation.

We have received terrible and painful news from the front about the death of Ukrainian fencer Fedor Epifanov, - the message says.

Fedor defended Ukraine from the first days of the full-scale invasion of Ukraine by the Russian Federation. Then he just turned 18 years old, and he suspended his sports career for the sake of defending the homeland.

Fyodor was a champion and prize-winner of all-Ukrainian competitions in foil fencing, a member of the Ukrainian national team and a Master of Sport.

He studied at the Ivan Poddubny Olympic Vocational College of the National University of Physical Education and Sport of Ukraine.

His whole life was ahead of him, if not for the Russian invaders who started this bloody war. We will never forgive him, - informed the Fencing Federation.
