Students should learn military terminology, map classification, and general information about the US and UK armies.

In Belarus, a new subject "Military Interpretation" was introduced for pupils of 10-11 grades. The document was published on 16 January on the portal of legal information of Belarus.

It is stated that the training programme of elective classes should "form professional skills and abilities of a military translator, as well as help students acquire knowledge on the structure of the Armed Forces of the United States and Great Britain.

Students should learn military terminology and acronyms, the classification of military topographical maps, and general information about the American and British armies.

In addition, pupils should be able to read the content of military documents, translate them into Russian, translate an interrogation of prisoners of war, and identify the insignia of US and British Armed Forces personnel by rank and category.
