Freedom of Russia fighters continue raid on Russian territory

Fighters of the Freedom of Russia legion, the Russian Volunteer Corps and the Siberian Battalion are in Kursk and Belgorod regions of the Russian Federation as of the evening of 12 March. This was reported by a volunteer of the "Freedom of Russia" legion, Alexei Baranovskyi "Buttercup" in "UP.Itogi".

As of today, all our groups are still on the territory of the Kursk and Belgorod regions. The whole situation is ongoing. Today we saw only the first part of the play for many acts," he said.

Baranovsky promised a "hot night" for the Russian Federation and noted that their campaign will continue for a long time, "at least until the presidential election in the Russian Federation."

According to the fighter, the legion's strikes destroyed several armoured vehicles of Russian troops. He also claimed the legion's involvement in drone strikes on Belgorod.

The fighter also talks about the goals of the campaign of Russian volunteers:

With this campaign we are solving both military and political goals. First of all, of course, we divert the attention and reserves of Putin's army, they are forced to concentrate their forces in the Belgorod region instead of sending them to the Ukrainian territories.

We are also sending a signal to Russian society and the opposition. After the murder of Alexei Navalny, the anti-war movement in Russia was demoralised, and we are sending a signal: "You are not alone, there are people who are ready to fight against Putin's regime with weapons in their hands".

We will remind, on 12 March, the fighters of the legion "Freedom of Russia", "RDK" and "Siberian battalion" entered the border territory of the Russian Federation. In social networks appeared a video of the presence of the military and shooting on the territory of the Russian Federation.

Secretary of the National Security and Defence Council of Ukraine Oleksiy Danilov commented on the special operation of Russian volunteers in Russia.

Russian citizens have the right to make their choice, it is their personal right. The other thing is that there is a totalitarian sect there now, which does not allow anyone to breathe. And they are fighting for a different country, for freedom," he said during the telethon.

Danilov noted that he had been listening carefully to the message broadcast by Russian volunteer battalions from the territory of the Russian Federation and believes that this is "just the beginning and there will be many, many more of these."
