- How to overcome "Monday syndrome"

We all know what it's like to meet Monday without having had a full weekend's rest.
All our energy and attention has gone into doing the things that have accumulated over the week. So Monday comes and instead of being full of energy, do you feel tired and exhausted? There are some simple tips to help you prepare for Monday and make it a productive one, even if the weekend was not a holiday.
1. Start by planning
First of all, you need to understand that fatigue is not only a physical state but also a psychological one. Planning will help organize your thoughts and prepare you for the tasks ahead.
On Sunday evening, take some time to make a to-do list for Monday. Prioritise them, putting the important tasks first. If possible, leave the easier and less stressful tasks for the end of the day.
2. Break tasks into manageable blocks
If your tasks are large and seem overwhelming, this can increase your stress. Try to break these tasks down into smaller, more manageable chunks. This will not only help you cope with them more easily, but also give you a sense of progression.
3. Take time for a morning ritual
A morning ritual is a great way to start the day. It can include a healthy breakfast, simple exercise, meditation or reading a book. A morning ritual helps you get in the mood for the day and get energised.
4. Be physically active during the day
Try to stay physically active during the day. Walking outdoors, a little exercise, even just a regular walk around the office and some stretching can help you stay awake.
5. Eating well and staying hydrated
Eating a healthy diet and drinking enough water are key to staying hydrated. Try to avoid fast carbohydrates and high fat foods which make you feel sleepy. Choose foods with proteins and complex carbohydrates.
6. Take regular breaks
Even if you're working hard, don't forget to take breaks. A short break can help to improve focus and restore energy levels.
7. Managing stress
Stress can also increase feelings of fatigue. Try relaxation techniques such as breathing exercises, yoga or meditation.
Effective planning and managing your own resources can help you overcome fatigue and get through Monday successfully. However, still try to give yourself a rest as soon as the opportunity presents itself.
