In Kharkiv region, a decision has been taken on the mandatory evacuation of residents of three communities, including the city of Kupyansk.

This decision is due to the impossibility of ensuring the restoration of vital infrastructure facilities, such as electricity, water and heat supply, due to constant shelling by Russian troops. This was reported by the head of the Kharkiv regional military administration, Oleh Sinegubov.

The situation is particularly difficult on the Kupyanskiy bank, where the left Oskol River can be safely repaired. About 4 thousand people live on this bank, and on the right - 3 thousand.

Sinegubov also said that for evacuated residents prepared places in Kharkiv, as well as possible logistics in other regions. Already evacuated 234 children with their families. Forced evacuation of a family with children is also in the village of Borovaya in Izium district.

According to the head of the Kupyansk city civil-military administration, Andriy Besedin, the security situation in the regions is developing, which affects the work of medical centres, public utilities and pharmacies. He suggested that residents urgently evacuate to safer regions and use the toll-free line to organise evacuation: 0 800 33 92 91.

Intense fighting and shelling continue in the Kupyansk direction, Russian troops are trying to destroy the defence, but meet the resistance of the AFU, which continues to strengthen positions to protect a strategically important direction.

Recall that families forced to evacuate from the frontline masses of Kharkiv and Sumy regions receive financial assistance in the amount of 10,800 hryvnias per person. This means that if there are five people in a family, the total sum will amount to 54,000 hryvnias.

This assistance is for those who lived on the territories of Kharkiv and Sumy regions and fall under mandatory evacuation starting from 1 May 2024. These measures are aimed at supporting families who were forced to leave their homes due to the danger and constant shelling in the frontline areas.
