India may overtake China in population size
With half of India's population under the age of 30, India could soon become the world's largest economy.

India now has a population of 1,428.6 million. And the country may soon overtake China in this indicator.
India may overtake China by the middle of this year, according to Reuters. However, Bloomberg journalists say that India is already ahead of China.
According to the demographic data of the "State of World Population Report 2023" United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA), India has a population of 1.4286 billion people compared to China's 1.4257 billion.
The figures were published as of February 2023.
Given that half of India's population is under the age of 30, it could be the world's largest economy in the near future.
