An entrepreneur in Kirovohrad Region is suspected of embezzling funds due to supplies of low-quality canned food to front-line regions.

This was reported by the press service of the Prosecutor-General's Office.

According to the investigation, in May 2022, the suspect supplied goods of improper quality worth 13.7m hryvnyas as part of the state procurement of storable food products.

We are talking about the delivery of 26,000 canned beef jars that were used to form humanitarian packages intended for regions where military operations are ongoing. The technical specifications of the canned stew did not meet the requirements of DSTU and other requirements in the field of food circulation.
