Paralympics-2024: Russian athletes allowed to compete

Russian athletes were allowed to participate in the Paralympic Games-2024 in Paris.
The decision was made in Bahrain during the General Assembly of the International Paralympic Committee.
Initially, the committee members were unable to pass a resolution to completely stop the terrorist country's membership in the committee.
Following the vote, 74 delegates opposed the exclusion of the Russians, 65 supported the decision and 13 abstained.
Next, the delegates voted in favour of the partial suspension of Russian para-athletes from competitions: 90 voted in favour of this decision, 56 voted against it, and six abstained.
Thus, representatives of the aggressor country will be able to compete at the 2024 Paralympic Games in a neutral status - without national symbols.
At the IPC General Assembly in Bahrain, IPC members voted 74-65 (13 abstentions) against a motion to fully suspend NPC Russia for breaches of its constitutional membership obligations. After lunch members will discuss a motion to partially suspend the NPC.
