On the night of 14 November, the DeepState analytical project reported new successful advances by Russian troops in eastern Ukraine. According to the sources, Russian forces managed to occupy Ilyinka and advance to Kupyansk, Kharkiv Region.

The report states that the Russian army captured Ilyinka and advanced towards other settlements, including Dalnyi, Novodonetskoye and Trudovoye.

Particular attention was paid to developments in Kupyansk, where Russian troops approached after several days of fighting. "This afternoon two columns of enemy equipment advanced from the area of Liman Pervyi to Kupyansk. The first column consisted of two MT-LBs, a BMP and a tank, while the second column, whose exact composition is unknown, moved at night," DeepState reported.

Despite the Russian troops' successes, the Ukrainian forces managed to destroy part of the enemy landing force thanks to the actions of the BpAKs of the 116th OMBR, 14th OMBR and other units. However, the Russian army, aware of its success, tried to send reinforcements, but was hit by the AFU.

DeepState analysts explain that the front line in this area has become very unclear in recent months.

The AFU and enemy combat orders were scattered in the forests, and the rotations of both sides created a sense of a "strange war." We call on the GBI and the SBU to pay attention to the situation that is developing on this section of the front,

- the analysis notes.

This advance of the Russian army on Kupyansk continues to increase tensions in the east of Ukraine. Recall that Kupyansk was liberated from the occupants by Ukrainian troops on 10 November 2022.
