"Shot in the back": occupiers killed three Ukrainian prisoners of war on the Toretsk direction

Russian invaders in the Toretsk direction cynically shot three Ukrainian military officers who had surrendered as prisoners of war.
Law enforcers found the relevant information on 3 September in one of Telegram channels, the Prosecutor-General's Office said .
The report describes how three servicemen from one of the AFU brigades came out of the basement of a house with their hands up when the enemy came almost close to them. The occupants put them face down on the ground, after which they shot them in the back almost immediately," the prosecutor's office said.
Intentional killing of prisoners of war is a gross violation of the Geneva Conventions, which is considered a grave international offence. Therefore, law enforcers have launched a pre-trial investigation into the fact of violation of the laws and customs of war, combined with premeditated murder (part 2 of article 438 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).
Investigative actions aimed at establishing all the circumstances of this event are being carried out by the SBU GU in Donetsk and Luhansk regions.
