Earlier it was announced that Seoul would reconsider providing arms to Ukraine.

South Korean presidential national security adviser Chung Ho-jin has said that Seoul will not limit itself in helping Ukraine if Russia provides North Korea with precision weapons. The local Yonhap newspaper reports the official's words.

Seoul's decision to provide weapons to Ukraine depends on how Russia's military cooperation with North Korea, which recently signed a strategic partnership agreement, will develop," he said.

The official also said that if the Russians want to restore and move Korea-Russia relations forward, "the Russian side should think hard."

Jang Ho Jin added that South Korea will keep information uncertain about the types of weapons South Korea might provide to Ukraine, because "it will be interesting to see how Russia responds to it, rather than revealing our plans in advance."

Earlier, Jang Ho-jin said that any co-operation that contributes to the military strengthening of the DPRK is a violation of the UN Security Council resolutions and is subject to international control and sanctions.
