Tusk intends to come to Kiev to start a reset between the countries.

New Prime Minister Donald Tusk has promised that he will no longer hesitate in important decisions regarding the war in Ukraine and said in an interview with TVN24 that the previous government "played anti-Ukrainian notes" during the pre-election period.

He pointed out that the Polish Law and Justice party had distinguished itself in this regard. But there will be no such precedents during his cadence.

Because when it comes to war and our attachment, as well as the entire Western world, to Ukraine in its confrontation with Russia, there can be no doubt," he explained.

Tusk emphasised that it is Ukraine that allows Poland to feel relatively safe by containing Russia. Therefore, Warsaw will resist any discrediting statements about assistance to Ukraine in the future.

Speaking about the West's confrontation with Russia, Tusk said that Europe should invest more money in weapons and defence, given that Russia has successfully shifted its economy onto "military rails".

We cannot pretend that nothing is happening. There can be no hesitation in such a matter as arming and supporting Ukraine in a war. For me, this is an indisputable fact," he summarised.

It is known that the Polish prime minister intends to visit Ukraine. As Polish media wrote, the visit is necessary to reset relations between the countries. They escalated after the blockade of the border with Ukraine by Polish carriers and the ban on imports of Ukrainian grain imposed by Warsaw.
