Ukraine today freed 100 servicemen from Russian captivity. Among them are defenders of Mariupol, Azovstal and Gostomel.

The head of the presidential office, Andriy Yermak, said this.

According to him, the returned defenders and defenders are military personnel, sailors, border guards, and national guardsmen.

Yermak noted that the exchange was not easy. In addition, some of the defenders have serious wounds and illnesses.

I am especially glad to report the excellent news of the exchange to the relatives of those freed from captivity. They have been waiting a long time for their men, women and parents back home. Waiting is always a very difficult and nerve-racking process," the head of the presidential office added.
