Captured Russians are added to an exchange fund to be used for the release of Ukrainian fighters.

Brigadier-General Aleksandr Tarnavskyy, commander of the Tavria operational and strategic group of troops, has posted a video of Russian servicemen taken captive near Marinka, Donetsk Region. He posted videos of the captives on Telegram.

The general released six videos of the captives.

Russians captured by Ukrainians say that they were sent to the front as mobilized, and some claim that they were deceived by the command, because it allegedly promised not to send them to the front line, but to leave them in the rear.

One of the captives said that they were sent to the positions allegedly for three days with the appropriate amount of food and water, but were kept there "for weeks".

Another noted that with the provision of uniforms and medicines now "something has just started to emerge".

Some of the prisoners in the video urge other Russians not to go and fight in Ukraine.
