Lithuania told why Zelensky received an old and discreet car at the NATO summit

The car on which Zelensky was travelling is more than 15 years old.
The Lithuanian State Guard (VAT) has provided Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy with an unremarkable 15-year-old Mercedes Benz during his visit to the NATO summit. This was reported by Delfi.
This was pointed out by journalists, who pointed out that all those invited to the summit received luxury cars, while Zelensky received the oldest car from the departmental car park.
As Paulus Nemira, the first deputy head of the VAT, explained, the Mercedes Benz, which Zelenski drove, has a high level of protection.
It is in excellent condition and on the move. The car has armour on all sides and the windows are covered with bulletproof glass. This car is able to protect people inside not only from bullets, but also from explosions. In addition, it has additional systems that supply oxygen and will help not to suffocate from smoke, and other solutions that save lives in case of danger, which I will not talk about. In this car the main thing is not the year of release, but the defence," - said about the car Nemira.
We shall remind you that a NATO summit was held in Vilnius on 11-12 July, which was attended by the leaders of 31 countries of the alliance, as well as delegations from Japan, South Korea, New Zealand, Australia, Ukraine and Sweden.
