In Mykolaiv region, a businessman tried to embezzle land at the AFU training ground


A businessman who tried to bribe an SBU officer has been detained in Mykolaiv Region. The man wanted to embezzle land at the AFU training ground for 1 million hryvnias.
This was reported by the Security Service of Ukraine.
It is noted that the man had already tried to misappropriate a 400-hectare plot of land at the Shyrokyy Lan military training ground. He was involved in criminal proceedings on this matter.
For 1 million UAH of bribes, he offered the Ukrainian security service to influence the investigator of the National police. In particular, the figure asked to remove the arrest from the land plot, which the entrepreneur "seized" for agrarian business, - reported in the SBU.
Having received the "offer" the SBU officer informed the management. After that, the businessman was detained on the "hot" when he had to hand over the first part of the bribe.
The man reported on suspicion under part 3 of article 369 of the Criminal code of Ukraine (offer, promise or provision of unlawful benefit to an official). And the court elected him a measure of restraint - detention in custody with the possibility of bail of 6 million UAH. The pre-trial investigation is ongoing.
