Statue of Papa Carlo chastising Pinocchio wins festival in Russia (photo)

The sculpture depicts Papa Carlo hammering nails into the back of Pinocchio for bad behaviour. This is reported by RosSMI.

The author of the statue Alexander Materkov said that he did not put any meaning in his work.

He explained that the cash prize for the victory plans to drink or buy new boots for his wife.

Denis Lykhin, director of the association of event organisers, called the sculpture with Papa Carlo and Pinocchio Materkov's strongest work.
