During a meeting of occupation police chiefs in Energodar, an explosion was heard - GUR

This was reported by the Main Directorate of Intelligence of the Ukrainian Defence Ministry.

on 18 August in temporarily occupied Energodar a meeting of the heads of the city "police" was scheduled. Approximately at 09.23 in the office of the head of the police heard a powerful explosion, - stated in the message.

As a result of the explosion, the following were injured:

• the head of the city department, Colonel of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation Chesanov Pavel Valerievich (Chuvash Republic);
• deputy chief for operational work;
• head of the investigative department;
• the head of the duty unit;
• heads of several departments.

After the explosion, all the injured were urgently hospitalised in a local hospital. Also, three resuscitation vehicles from temporarily occupied Melitopol were called for their examination. It is planned to evacuate the "officials" by military helicopters to Russia.

The building, apart from housing the police department, was used as a room for the occupants' personnel. As a result of the explosion, the house was significantly damaged, the fire spread to 3-5 floors," the Defence Ministry's GSD added.

Currently, the area where the explosion occurred is blocked. The occupants have also restricted the possibility for civilians to move around Energodar and completely cut off the internet.
