Ukrainian farmer detained in Kharkiv region for exporting Ukrainian grain to Russia

The woman grew and supplied wholesale quantities of grain and oilseeds. During the occupation of the settlement, she voluntarily registered her business with the local occupation administration of Russia.

According to the investigation, in July-August last year, her farm harvested more than 2,000 tonnes of crops for almost UAH 13 million. Then the collaborator transported the entire batch of grain to Belgorod region and sold it to Russian agricultural holdings," the SBU said.

At the same time, the woman paid "taxes" from the proceeds to the budget of the Russian Federation.

It is noted that after the liberation of the district, the farmer tried to avoid justice and "lay low". However, law enforcers detained the intruder.

The suspect was searched, during which they seized documents confirming cooperation with the occupants. The woman was declared a suspect under part 4 of article 111-1 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (collaboration). And also elected a measure of restraint in the form of detention. The investigation is ongoing.
