What to eat on a Friday night: tasty, inexpensive, with a good film
Friday nights are a time for relaxing, having a good time and enjoying a delicious meal.
At the end of a long working week, nothing warms the soul like a good film and the comforts of home, and when you add a great dinner to the mix, the evening is perfect. Let's find out what's delicious and inexpensive to make for Friday night and choose the right film for each course.
1. Homemade pizza and Back to the Future
Homemade pizza. Homemade pizza is as delicious as it is interesting. It's a dish that the whole family can get involved in making, and it ends up tasting exactly the way you want it to taste.
Ingredients: 2.5 cups flour, 1 cup warm water, 2 teaspoons dry yeast, 1 teaspoon salt, 1 tablespoon sugar, 2 tablespoons olive oil, 1 cup pickled vegetables (to taste), 1 cup mozzarella cheese, half a cup tomato sauce.
Preparation: Dissolve the yeast in warm water, add the sugar, salt and flour. Knead the dough and leave in a warm place for 1 to 2 hours. Roll out the dough, put the tomato sauce, pickled vegetables and cheese on it. Bake in the oven at 200 degrees for about 15-20 minutes.
Film: "Back to the Future" (1985). A classic adventure comedy that never gets old. A great choice for family viewing.

2. Spaghetti Carbonara and Venom: Let There Be Carnage
Spaghetti Carbonara. This traditional Italian dish is quick enough to prepare and requires no complicated ingredients, making it the perfect choice for a Friday night out.
Ingredients: 200g spaghetti, 100g bacon, 2 egg yolks, 50g parmesan cheese, ground black pepper, salt.
Preparation: boil spaghetti in salted water until al dente. Pan fry the bacon. Mix the egg yolks with the grated parmesan and add the water in which the spaghetti was boiled. Mix all the ingredients, season with pepper and serve.
Film: Venom 2: Spider-Man (2023). A fast-paced action film about a superhero who simultaneously fights his enemies and tries to find a balance with the aggressive alien entity inside him.

3. Falafel and Roman Holiday
Falafel. A Middle Eastern dish that's suitable for vegetarians and health-conscious eaters.
Ingredients: 1 cup dried chickpeas, 1 onion, 2 garlic cloves, a bunch of parsley, a bunch of coriander, 1 teaspoon coriander, 1 teaspoon cumin, salt, pepper, vegetable oil for frying.
Preparation: Soak the chickpeas overnight. Grind chickpeas, onion, garlic, parsley and coriander through a meat grinder. Add the spices, salt and pepper. Form the cutlets and fry on both sides in vegetable oil until golden.
Film: "Roman Holiday". The young Princess Anna arrives in Rome on an official visit. Her days are packed to the minute - receptions, visits to factories, interviews... in short, dreary! She is just a girl, she yearns to be free and runs away from the palace into the streets where the citizens of the Eternal City walk, sing and kiss.
Alas, just before she escapes, the doctor gives her an injection of sleeping pills and the princess falls asleep on a bench. And the American journalist Joe Bradley, who is returning home after an evening at the card table, passes by. Early in the morning, on assignment from his editor, he has to be at a press conference with Princess Anne, whom he has never seen in his eyes..
