Zelensky said what should be done to stop the war

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said in his evening address on 26 July that it was necessary to maximize pressure on Russia. According to him, the Kremlin is already suffering serious economic losses and the sanctions are showing their effectiveness.

Referring to the reports of the Ukrainian intelligence service, in particular the Foreign Intelligence Service, Zelenskyy emphasised that Russia's economic losses would only increase. He thanked international partners for their support and said that now is the key moment when there is a chance to stop the war by early next year.

We need to put pressure so that Russia will not be able to continue the war. The main thing is to force Putin's regime to seek peace, to make it clear that it will not be possible to sit or endure Ukraine and Europe," the head of state stressed.

According to Zelenskyy, the sanctions policy should weaken the economic and military potential of the Russian Federation, and Ukraine continues to work with its allies in this very direction.

Earlier, the Foreign Intelligence Service of Ukraine reported that despite the Russian authorities' attempts to keep the economy afloat at the expense of the defence sector, the only growing industry in civilian production was the ritual industry.
