Biden assessed Tusk's rise to power in Poland

The Polish government is headed by one of the most experienced and sophisticated politicians not only within his own country: Tusk was head of the European Council for five years.
US President Joe Biden has praised the changes in Poland's political life since Donald Tusk's government came to power. The American leader's assessment of the situation in Poland was published on Twitter by Marek Walkuski, a correspondent for Polish Radio.
He pointed out that when asked to comment on the political changes in Poland and the coming to power of a government more favourable to the European Union, Biden replied: "I think it's very good.
Poproszony przezeze mnie o komentarz do zmian politycznych w Polsce i przejmowania władzy przez bardziej przychylny Unii Europejskiej rząd, prezydent Joe Biden odpowiedział. "Uważam, że to bardzo dobrze". @PR24_pl pic.twitter.com/us34YZjYLh

It should be noted that Tusk's accession to power in Poland ended the eight-year era of undivided rule in Poland by the conservative Law and Justice party, under which democracy in the country, according to many international observers, was in decline. During these eight years, Poland banned abortion, made the justice system directly dependent on the power vertical, turned the media into a propaganda mouthpiece of Law and Justice, and pro-government politicians began to talk about Poland's possible exit from the European Union.
Ukraine occupies a special place in Tusk's political legacy. Poland and Prime Minister Tusk personally unequivocally supported Euromaidan and Kyiv's subsequent European aspirations. in his time, Tusk, despite the resistance of some European leaders, "squeezed" the Ukrainian issue onto Brussels' agenda. Already after Russia's full-scale invasion of Ukraine, Tusk used old contacts to boost European assistance to Kiev and criticised the West for being too passive on the conflict.
